About the role
As a Work Preparator Engineer, you are the vital link between Engineering and Manufacturing. You ensure speed, quality, and reliability during the transition from prototype to series production. Through ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement, you enable Prodrive Technologies to deliver high-tech systems that exceed customer expectations and set new standards in manufacturability and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and support prototype builds and pilot runs, ensuring a smooth transition to series production.
- Develop and maintain clear work instructions, routings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Drive First-Time-Right product introductions by identifying and mitigating manufacturing risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Optimize processes for quality, efficiency, and cost while supporting production ramp-up and continuous improvement.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree (MBO+/HBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Experience in a similar role is a strong advantage.
- High standard for accuracy, documentation, and process compliance.
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, mechatronic, and electronic production processes.
- Manage priorities, deadlines and dependencies.
